Common messages
“Nothing was written. … changed after this was proposed”
Something the change touches was edited after Claude proposed it — by you, another app, or an earlier change. The app refuses rather than overwrite a store that no longer matches what you approved, so nothing reached your store. Reject it and ask Claude again; it will propose against the current values.
“This store has reached its 10 jobs for this month”
The free plan covers ten jobs a month, counting changes already waiting for your approval. Everything already in your queue can still be approved. New proposals resume on the 1st, or upgrade from the app’s Settings for unlimited jobs.
“This store has not granted the access needed to change …”
That type of change needs a Shopify permission your store has not approved yet — usually after an app update adds a new type. Open the app in your Shopify admin and accept the updated permissions.
“The merchant has disabled … changes for this app”
That type is switched off in the app’s Settings. Switch it back on there if you want Claude to be able to propose it.
“This request has expired”
Connecting Claude has to be finished within 15 minutes of starting. Start the connection again from Claude and approve it promptly in your Shopify admin.
Before you write
- A change looks wrong in the review? Use Open in Shopify on its page to compare it with the real thing, and reject it with a reason — Claude reads the reason.
- Something applied that you want back? Use Revert on the change, or Revert all on a batch in History.
- A change failed and you no longer want it? Dismiss it. It stays in your history, marked rejected.
